A full heating system can be designed to heat water using solar energy effectively and the following is an explanation of some of the basic components of this system:
1- Solar Panels: They are used to collect solar energy and convert it into thermal energy, and solar panels made of silicon or fluoride from fluorine can be used and their sizes are measured in square meters.
2- Storage Tank: It is used to store hot water that has been heated using solar panels, and the tank must be well insulated to prevent heat loss.
3- Pump: Used to pump water from the tank to the solar panels and from the solar panels to the tank.
4- Control Valve: It is used to determine the amount of water flowing from the solar panels into the tank.
5- Pipes: Used to connect water between solar panels, tank, pump and control valve.
Solar systems for heating water depend on collecting heat from sunlight and storing it in a tank until it is used, and the performance of the system depends on several factors, such as the efficiency of solar panels, the size of the tank, the quality of the insulation, the type of pump, and the control valve, so the system is designed according to the needs of the home or institution using hot water.
There is no accurate lifespan of a full heating system with solar panels, as this depends on several factors, such as the quality of the parts used in the installation of the system, the extent of the system's exposure to the factors of the surrounding environment, and the method of use and maintenance that is provided to the system.
However, a solar panel heating system has a durability and long life of at least 25-30 years, and this may extend to 40 years or more if the system is provided with regular maintenance and external damage is avoided; if regular maintenance and care are not available, this can reduce the life span of the system.
A complete solar panel heating system has a number of important features, including the following:
1- Relying on a clean and free solar energy source reduces the cost of electrical energy that is used to heat water.
2- It improves energy efficiency and reduces dependence on traditional electrical energy.
3- It improves the home environment and the health of individuals, as it reduces fuel use and thus reduces carbon emissions and pollution resulting from it.
4- It improves the value of the home, as investing in a solar heating system is an attractive investment that can increase the value of the house in the future.
5- It requires much less maintenance and repair than traditional water heating systems, which means lower maintenance and repair costs and greater usage time.
6- Modern systems by adding an electric heater can provide hot water throughout the day without stopping or interrupting.
